I provide training either online or in-person* for the following modules:
TRAINING | DESCRIPTION |
---|---|
Creating Accessible Documents: Level I (MS Word) | This Level I training session is designed to teach you how to create accessible Microsoft Word documents. If you plan, format and structure your document correctly from the start, it will ensure the file is not only accessible but can also be converted to alternate formats, such as PDF, while retaining its accessibility features. |
Creating Accessible Documents: Level II (PDFs) | This Level II training session is designed to teach you how to fix accessibility issues within PDFs in order to make them accessible. Ideally, you will have completed the “Creating Accessible Documents: Level I (MS Word)”, outlined above, before participating in this workshop. |
Creating Accessible PowerPoint Presentations | Learn how to create accessible PowerPoint presentations and how to fix accessibility issues in existing presentations. |
Accessible InDesign Best Practices | Applying best practices to make sure that InDesign files are accessible before converting to PDF. Ensuring that source files are accessible prior to PDF conversion will result in fewer accessibility issues within the outputted PDFs. |
* Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, in-person training has been suspended until further notice. Online training is still being offered.
Note to educators:
The above training modules help support a Universal Design for Learning (UDL) digital environment for students and staff.
