Thanks, Christie - I have to admit, I was hamming it up a bit for the camera! Hope you enjoyed the show at NP Square?

Those are just wonderful pictures Ted has posted on his project's site. The photograph of you even made me smile because you look very thoughtful and I really can't say if this was done on purpose or if that's the natural you. :) It seems you had a lovely New Year's Eve. I was walking down the King Street when I went to Nathan Philips Square show that day but didn't meet the duo, unfortunately. I guess it was too late for taking pictures.

Hey Gary,

It was wonderful to get to meet you and get the opportunity to photograph you today. I hope that the experience was memorable and enjoyable. All of the photos will actually be posted to my own website in about a week. Thanks again for the great experience!

Wow, I didn't know you were such a good writer. Your first paragraph seems like it has come right out of a well written novel.

I think you learned a valuable lesson today. Don't talk to strangers who look like they live on a green crate.

I was disgusted with the morning show. Animals should not be treated that way. Your hosts should have better moral compasses or the courage to speak up when they know something is wrong. Thank God my kids weren't watching.

Thanks for the comment, Anurag. On the subject of the history of mankind, a post entitled "The proper reverence due those who have gone before" by PZ Myers also struck a chord in me. Not sure if you've seen it already, but I think it's worth a read: http://scienceblogs.com/pharyngula/2006/01/the_proper_reverence_due_those.php

Hi Gary,
I just came to on your post via Pharyngula.
I have read so many of such articles that I wasn't sure how much of the post I would read, but after the first few lines I didn't feel like stopping. It was almost exactly the same experience I had growing up. I can even remember back the age when I use to feel God is everyone all around me, watching me and judging my actions and I must be a good boy. Somewhere between then and my 12th birthday all such feelings were gone. Although our experiences were very similar, on one note it was very different, I was raised a Hindu. I remember my skepticism began when I started reading Cosmos by Carl Sagan. It was the history of mankind, the age of the universe and other topics that got me thinking. I remember distinctly that when the Mars Pathfinder landed on Mars in 97, for some reason that cemented the deal for me :P
Anyway, I just thought I would share my experience too!
