Well done to the Canadian Men’s Hockey Team on winning the gold medal tonight in their game against the U.S! As soon as the game ended, you could hear lots of cheering on the streets of our neighbourhood, along with car horns honking as they sped by groups of people out celebrating. We thought we’d step out to our local pub for a celebratory drink ourselves, but we couldn’t find a seat—or even a place to stand!—when we got there, it was so busy.
On the way back home we noticed that the CN Tower had changed it’s colour scheme and was lit up in gold. How cool is that? I went up onto the roof top terrace and took a photo of it.
Well done, Canada!
