We already had our St. Patrick’s Day parade on Saturday, here in Toronto. I was strolling through the downtown core when I came across the parade at Dundas Square.
Did you know: In Ireland on St. Patrick’s Day, people traditionally wear a small bunch of shamrock on their jackets or caps. Children wear orange, white and green badges, and women and girls wear green ribbons in their hair.
When we were kids, my mum always made us wear a sprig of shamrock on our school blazer lapel. These days, I’ll have to make do with a green shirt-and-tie, methinks.
