I’m done my day at the office, it’s now time to start my weekend. My work day consisted of lots of cake, quite a few birthday wishes and a lunch at the Patrician Grill with colleagues – and of course, some work crammed in between all this.
I’m sat at a cafe right now, waiting for El Franco to join me before we go visit friends for drinks on their balcony and then dinner at Le Select, at its new location on Wellington Street West. We’ve been to this restaurant on a couple of occasions, but when it was located on Queen Street West. The food was very good, typical French cuisine with a quirky bread basket that clients could lower down from the ceiling above their tables! This will be the first time in a while since we last went, so I’m really looking forward to seeing the new venue which has a beautiful front patio and also one in the back, I’ve heard.
Tomorrow night we’re meeting another couple of friends for an Indian meal at Biryani House on Wellesley Street in the gaybourhood. It’s possible we’ll go for drinks after the meal and maybe listen to one of the local singers at Statlers bar. And I remembered, earlier today, that it’s Nuit Blanche tomorrow night, so I hope to take a walk down Queen West to see what artsy stuff is on show in that bohemian neck of the woods.
Sunday beers will be in order, methinks, just to finish off the weekend nicely.
