Poster for the CFI Toronto lecture, Science Education: caught in the middle of the war between science and religion
I’ve already bought my ticket for this lecture by PZ Myers in Toronto on Halloween; Science Education: caught in the middle of the war between science and religion.
PZ Myers is a biology professor from Morris, Minnesota, who writes the most popular science blog on the internet, Pharyngula. Myers is a controversial figure who regularly shreds fundamentalist viewpoints with an extremely sharp wit and logic. Along with various other high profile personalities, such as Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens, PZ Myers doesn’t hold back on his criticism and distaste for all things theological.
It should be an interesting event, and one I’m looking forward to, with an opportunity to maybe grab some beers with Professor Myers after the lecture.
The CFI poster for this event was designed by Torontonian, Glendon Mellows.

I’m curious to see how many fans versus people concerned about science education will show up. it should be a really interesting evening.
Education is a bit of a lightning rod for polarised opinions.
Glad I found your blog, Gary!
